Managing Obesity in Children


Management of Overweight and Obesity in Children and Adolescents- Select two of four characteristics that place children at high risk for overweight or obesity, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics. Identify three ethnic groups that have higher rates of overweight and obesity among children and adolescents. Determine the recommended assessment tools for evaluating weight status in children older than 2 years and in very young children (birth to 2 years). Select the BMI percentile reference points that are used to diagnose overweight in children and adolescents.
