Women and Heart Disease- This course is written for physicians, but is also appropriate for RNs and technologists, who wish to expand their understanding of the awareness issues, risk factors, and treatment options for women and heart disease. Course content describes gender differences in the epidemiology of heart disease, the risk categories for women developing CHD (coronary heart disease), as well as appropriate interventions and treatment options for each risk category. AHA guidelines for non-invasive diagnosis and prevention of CHD in women are also presented.
