responsibility and the privilege of performing a focused physical assessment for each of their patients.
This initial assessment provides an important opportunity to evaluate and formulate a plan of care that is best suited to meet your patients’ needs. Note that this course focuses on examination of the adult patient in an acute
care setting. The assessment of a pediatric or neonatal patient is specialized and is outside the scope and purpose of this
course.
